Cold Pavement

Folder:
Poems

I open my swollen eyes,

And take a look around.

The world is at its demise,

Exclaims the dirty, blood stained ground.

Everywhere I look,

Blood, tears and sweat.

A feeling of disbelief,

As Liquid freezes on the hard pavement.

Everyone so cold,

Is this really how it should be?

The world feeling so old,

With all this hate and misery.

Humanity falls though the hole,

Of sheet metal and concrete.

Each of us experience silence,

When two lonely people meet.

The outlook is bleak,

As we hope things will change.

But corruption likes to creep,

When society is derranged.

We soon will all fall victom,

To the silence and the void.

Because this cold, hard pavement

Is something no one can avoid.
