talking on the phone with a girl
who in every light i see as a pearl
giving me courage to go on living
and the feelings and love she says id a giving
almost as if living a long awaited dream
as she makes me over indulge in chocolate ice cream
drinking the nights in kool aid
hoping that she'll be the one that stayed
having to wait only a few years
to be able and enjoy all our tears
when happiness and strife
allows us to win this life
of being together in our own way
for this I hope will be the remainder of our days
