Time

If I trade old age for youth,

Will I make a profit?

And with another repetition,

Will that set me free?

I’d like to pay cash, please!

For no early wakings,

No chasing clocks;

If you could add:

No due dates, expected deeds,

Or crunch times with constant pleas.

If I give all my silver,

Will it be enough?

To run spring winds like sheer sash

And calm my hair with playful brush.

I’d like some time, no interest please!

To see unseen by me before, and feel

What my heart beat is longing for;

If you could add:

A virgin land with bright light sky,

With open arms, I’ll close my eyes;

Off I’d go to a horizon sprint

Until I have no legs to feel,

Or breath to catch no more…
