Joy 4-25

Joy through the ages can never be lost

From the day of birth a smile arrives

Welcoming you into this world

Newborn baby, mother’s eyes

Shaking rattles hypnotize

Bright colors cannot criticize

Babies’ lives are never lies

But take a step away from tears

Stepping stones to older years

Being young, have no fears

Wildest desires perseveres

The face across from you always leers

Joy through the ages can never be lost

Laughing children grow old

Adolescence begins

A new life is shown to you now

Craziness is your life

Rebellious through useless strife

Screams high pitched like an old time fife

Good times always rife

Time passes by

Independence engulfs the mind

New goals and inspirations to find

First papers you signed

Throw your wasted years behind

The years pass so quickly now

Second family, take a bow

Growing older after wedding vows

Children in arms, adults now

In your last days, you don’t know how

Yet still in depth you know it as true

The heart in grandkid is the heart in you

Joy through the ages can never be lost

Wipe the tears from off your face

A smile is the shape to trace
