Jumping through the ponds

Around the totally oblivious viewers

No one understands

What is pouring through my mind

"How immature!" they all react

"How stupid." is my only remark

Why pretend to be an adult,

If you still want to be a child

Water splashing up my leg

The largest grin I've ever owned

As far as I can remember

An audience of one right now

Everyone else has turned they're heads

Either that, or I ran away

Either way, I don't think it matters

There's only one audience I'm acting for

My childishness is a given

This play is sure to be a hit

Just wait til the day it hits broadway

Author's Notes/Comments:

Ha. How fun it is to be a kid, and how foolish it is for people to stray. What I would do to stay a kid forever.. wonder if this makes me a hippie.. =/ hm..
