anyone can
feign a false feeling
for a split second
what you didn't see
in that picture
were the memories before
and the events after
someone snapshot that scene
But still we proudly
Place our picture perfect memories
Into perfect frames
And put our pseudo smiles
On display
As if they were real
Looking back
At my "memories"
in Photographs
Has taught me
one important lesson
In life:
Whoever said
"The camera never lies"
Was a liar
Yet the next time
I still bet
No matter what
That the world will listen
And will be tricked yet again
Into another artificial evidence
Another counterfeit creation
Another manipulated memory
Another simulated smile
When the photographer says
"Say Cheese"
