Sometimes I find myself swimming in the sea

Knowing that I’m destined to drown in memories

Our future is an underwater roller coaster ride

We’re drifting apart with every wave and tide

I’m feeling like the end has just begun

Trying to say “goodbye” as the salt water fills my lungs

And sometimes I find myself swimming in the sea

Knowing that this is how it’ll always be



…drowning…drowning…drowning…drowning…



Sometimes you find yourself swimming in the sea

Pretending that somehow you’ll reach back out to me

You can kick and scream until the Heavens start to rain

Just remember that the ocean will never, ever drain

You’re feeling like the beginning has just begun

Trying to say “hello”, but the tsunami’s got your tongue

And sometimes you find yourself swimming in the sea

Sinking safely right into the arms of the enemy

And sometimes we find ourselves swimming in the sea

Knowing that the wicked water will swallow you and me
