Praying Mantis vs. Venus Fly Trap

Every answer has a question,

But not every question has an answer.

No one had helped me during my Great Depression,

Your pollution has filled my lungs with potent cancer.

Every end has a beginning,

But not every beginning has an end.

Around your heart I'll keep on spinning,

Because your unaccustomed thoughts I'll never comprehend.

Every finish has a start,

But not every start has a finish.

The chains holding us so close have finally broken apart,

Slowly my feelings for you begin to diminish.

Every home has a family,

But not every family has a home.

Once a friend, you have now become the enemy,

Once together, now you have left me all alone.

Every wing has a bird,

But not every bird has a wing.

Because of you, all my emotions have been blurred and stirred,

I'm in desperate need of solace, but all you have left me with is your scorpion sting.

Every God has a religion,

But not ever religion has a God.

We are through, I have made my ultimate decision,

All you do is incinerate me like a lighting rod.

Every Mrs. Has a Mr.,

But not every Mr. Has a Mrs.

You have destroyed my life like a central U.S. twister,

But every now and then the time comes for reminisces.

Every future has a past,

But not every past has a future.

Finally, I have become disentangled from your twisted web of lies at last,

My heart, life, mind, body, soul, and cage are all about to rupture.

Everyone who has had a loved one is a sinner,

But not all sinners have had a loved one,

The egotistical Venus Fly Trap poses and celebrates, believing it is the distinct winner,

But the predacious Praying Mantis recognizes that the actual battle has just begun.
