Perfection

Why do you try

Ever so hard

To make me perfect?

Because I am not

What you want

Me to be all around.

I cant stand it,

Not one single bit.

When you say

I am doing wrong

For making a "C"

Instead of an "A"

You claim that

I claim that

I am perfect

And I have nothing

Wrong with me at all.

I never, ever made

Such silly claims

I know for a fact,

I nor any other person

Is or can be perfect.

It is impossible

In this world we live in.

Please I beg of you,

I am on my knees,

Begging and pleading.

That you realize

I know I am not perfect

And that it is pointless

For me to even hope

To be perfect.

I already see this,

It isn't to hard at all.

I am not asking

For you to give up.

I am quite simply

Asking you to please

Quit pushing me so hard

To be perfect.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I actually like this poem. Because at the end, there is a  line that says "To be perfect." The poem is obviously written in three line stanzas, where the last line stands by itself. I think its a pretty good example of my thoughts and feelings toward this.  That I truley believe is a good example of what I was trying to say.
