Why do you not care
I speak and you do not hear me
I talk and I am not being heard
I ask you a simple question
What's for dinner
A simple question you see
But you just keep on working
I tried to tell you
What happened at school today
But you do not hear me
You keep pounding on the keyboard
I try to talk to you
I want to communicate
But with everything I try
You say go away I'm busy
This hurts me can't you tell
When I feel so unloved
And I feel so very alone
I really don’t like this feeling
I try to call out for help
Oh goodness knows I do
But nothing seems to work
Every tried attempt was in vain
So please hear me now
Hear this tiny plea
Just talk to me I ask
Is that so hard to hear
