Putting all emotions aside

I have to speak from my heart

The ups and downs we’re going through

It’s tearing me apart

We use to be so happy

And it aint even been that long

Everything seemed to be so right

Now everything is goin wrong

I do all I can to satisfy you

To keep you comin back for more

I want to be the only one you run to

So I lose myself tryin to make sure

I’ve got so caught up in the thought of us

Hoping that I alone can make it last

But it takes two and I know this

I should remember that from my past

Now- I know that I love you

Because my heart tells me everyday

I never stop thinking about you

But confusion is getting in the way

I’m not sure if you wanna be here

You act like you’re so through

You’ve lost that smile you use to have

You act mad at everything I do

As much as I want to let you go

And let you go back on your way

I know that my heart would ache for you

And with my heart- I cannot play

I want things to be beautiful

Like exactly how they were before

Instead of all the arguing, fussing, fighting

And who can do it more

There’s no need to lie to you

I’m getting tired of all your shit

But I’m willing to work things out with you

If you can honestly say that it’s worth it

Just let go of your inhibitions

And let love take over your soul

And in due time, baby, you will see

That our love can and will grow

Just love me like I love you

Don’t hold back a thing

I promise you’ll be satisfied

At all the wonderful that love brings

You are my poetry and I don’t want to lose you

You are my breathe in and my breathe out

There’s no one I would rather be with

My sincerity you never have to doubt

I’ll fill your life with pure exhiliration

A smile you will always wear

So relax and love me equally

I have plenty of love to share

We only have to remember to remember ourselves

Because were easy to forget at times

But I can make sure to be your reminder

If you promise to be mine

I’m gonna take a few steps back while you think

And make sure that love is what you need in your life

I’m not asking to be baby mama

And I don’t need to be your wife

I only want to love you

As much as a woman can

I just need you to be good to me

And simply be my man
