Who would’ve known things would end up this way?

I remember you asking my opinion like it was yesterday

I told you what I thought and it wasn’t the best

I thought that he would turn out just like the rest

Now, you have to admit, he started off all wrong

I thought you’d get tired of it & it wouldn’t last long

You let him get inside your head & I guess inside your heart

I’ll tell you honestly, I didn’t think it would be til death do you part

In July 2003 you exchanged rings and vows

And everything is good, at least for now

I will admit to my envy because you’ve found a good thing

You’ve found true love and all the joys it can bring

You looked simply beautiful that day

I cried like a baby when Daddy gave you away

I only hope that I’m lucky enough to find love too

I know that you’ll be with him forever, because your love is true
