Literary Belly

My Literary belly

I’ve eaten so much experience within

Only God knows where this poet has been

Where there is struggle character begins

We are born pure as the snow until comes mud tracks of sin

Tinge this world can stain suck you dry and stain

When I swallow all of these things, enlightenment remains

I gain revelation, exposure when I'm patient

By 2004 the lettered nourishment had my stomach aching

Discernment happened while I was waiting, so comes perception

I become mindful while I’m fed, painful bread becomes a weapon

Creative acids break it down and it dissolves

Compress to expand; life’s meals help me evolve

Progress I breakthrough, hate don’t have to make you

Mold or shape you, ups and down existence can take you

Contemplating becomes words, words become phrases

Phrases become paragraphs to pages something major

My savior comforts thee with his word I will read

I sacrifice my ideas; my paper now has life like Christ bleeds

Cover this blank papyrus with these nutritious verbs

Adjectives that laid waiting and have my bowels on the verge

Of this geyser swelling, stanzas and verses I can’t hold no more

My destiny spills out, poetry I vomit from the life I’ve gorged.
