A viciously gilded cathedral

A viciously gilded cathedral from within,
My Star Chamber’s dome carved with scars
Perpetrates its gaping fraud.
Straw men leave notches on
My silent jury from above
As my cells run unpunished for their misanthropy,
My lace of self-inflicted stars.
