Author's Notes/Comments: 

This, of course, is a perceived pattern, and subject to other perceptions that might disagree.  Some scholars have examined, for example, the verse pattern described by T. S. Eliot for its application in his four "drawing room" plays, and have found either exceptions (if they are describing it kindly) or failures (if they are not).
