As I Fall

Folder:
Dark

I can hear my last breath

As I fall to the jagged rocks below

While the yellow moon laughs at my death

But there's something she doesn't know

I am the dead

I am the nothingness

I am the living

I am the duress

I am sitting silently on the floor

Though she sees the wind rush by my face

But I've already been through that door

She didn't see my fall from grace

I have my death

I have my nothingness

I have my life

It survives in my chest

Been there, done that, it doesn't matter

This dance is getting old

I know the ground below will shatter

And land in halls laced with gold

I am falling

I am spinning

I am feeling

I am killing

Surprised by the sad smile on my lips

As I spin through the air of hell

Holding my breath till the universe rips

Forgetting that I just fell

I hold my failure

I hold my pride

I hold my pain

It is my bride

And then again she'll watch me fall

And yet again I take my last breath

Who knew that hell could be so tall

While the yellow moon laughs at my death

I am the dead

I am the nothingness

I am the living

I am the duress
