I HATE THE T

ABSTRACT POEMS

I HATE THE T
There are cars too few. What am I going to do
In the middle of the day, I have to at the stop stay.
I hate to wait.

I hate the T.

The cars take a long time to go far.
Do they go far in a short time? No. They are too slow.
Sometimes, they go express. They go too fast. Me, see, they pass.
This annoys this boy I confess.

I hate the T.

Too crowded. They pack people in. Nobody does grin, A situation nobody wins.
Everybody's in an embrace. Everybody's in each other's face.

I hate the T.

Sometimes, down they break, a mistake.
Sometomes, there are delays.
When'll we get there anyway?

I hate the T.

It is not faiir. The fares always increase.
They never cease.
Up, the fares seem to go. Do they stop, no
About us, they don't seem to care.
They seem so out of touch with us. They are too much.
All the money we did pay.
I'd rather walk anyway

Author's Notes/Comments:

The T is the subway system in Boston.
Where I live.
