                        Midwest is best.

                        Wyoming State,

                Car after car after car,

             from the mine so far.  

          I count the cars one to ten.  

      This train is going to end when.

        I count the cars higher and higher.

        50, this train is nifty.

        100.

          It comes from so far away,  several days.

          Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois, Chicago

      Yes, getting it to the city is the goal, coal

         day after day

          Thats the way.

                      So far away.

                       work and play

                   The lights of the city, pretty

                    The lights of the city, bright

             An engine times two or three see, im not blue

                a situation to win,

              a great thing for me to see.
