WEDDING POEM (COURTSHIP)

COUNTRY POEMS

                 Two people from different worlds.

A story that can finally be told.

They from different places.  They from different spaces.

It was so great.  It was so fate.

They met online, and they both thought each other was fine.

                                 They talked on the phone.

                               They, no longer alone.

                             The month of June.

They said they would see each other soon.

                            They did finally meet.

They found each other really neat.

The first time, they said goodbye.  They did cry.

The friends said this would not be the end.

                               It was not.

Came did the summer, so hot.

            The month of June.

            Soon came.

He again to see her did come west.

                              A feeling the best.

Two souls, lost in the storm of life tossed.

                                  They know had a goal.

They know knew the way.  It was a beautiful day.

Here in this city so pretty.

                                 The city of St. Lou.

A perfect place for me and you.

The merging, the meeting of two rivers.

We'll keep each other warm when we shiver.

                                    Rivers blue.

                                      Yes, it's true.
