A LONG ROAD HOME

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

            I'm alone no longer.

            I'm feel a lot stronger.

A teeny, tiny, dot, no longer.

It's been a long road home.

It is true, that I am no longer blue.

A stranger no longer in this town to

the woman in her beautiful gown.

She always knocked me to the floor.

She, you see, was a beautiful sight.

Today, she invite me in her door.

It's been a long road home.

No longer am I hit by rejection.

Loser row twirling my toes, longer do I need to sit

I have found my perfect fit.

          I have found perfection.

          Did'nt lose this election.

It's been a long road home.

           I will roam no longer.

Nor be lost in dome stadium,

or tossed by the mighty sea, you see.

           Look what happened to me.

It's been a long road home.

             A long into your eyes.

             I can finally cry.

A tear of happiness falls from my eye,

a child falling into a pit of Chuck E. Cheese balls.

as I look at my dear.

Oh, It's been a long road home.

Yeah, it's been a long road home.
