I'M A LONG WAY FROM HOME

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

          I am on the road.

          I feel so cold.

          This trip is so old.

I am a truck driver, hauling a big, heavy, loud.

I am a miner in California to hunt for gold.

I'm a long way from home.

          I feel so alone.

So far from home, I have roamed.

This is what it must be like to be a country star.

I don't have the fans, the bands,

I don't have the crowd, and the loud.

I just have the motels and the hotels.

I'm a long way from home.

I'm a male with a job to make the sale.

I'm on a boat in the middle of a gale.

I can feel the heavy rain.

              I can feel the pain.

I'm a long way from home.

I'm in the middle of nowhere.

                Does anybody care?

                Hiding is everybody, where?

                No, I think not.

                This job is not hot.

Oh, I'm a long way from home.

Yeah, I'm a long way from home.
