BUSINESS TRAVELER

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

I go to a meeting.  I feel myself heating.

I try not to take a beating.

I go to a dinner.  I try to emerge the winner.

I go to a conference; I go to a seminar.

I am, for once, glad not to be the star.

         I am a business traveler.

I stay in hotels.  I stay in motels.

Sometimes, there is a pool.  Yes, it is cool.

Sometimes, there are movies.  Yes, they sre groove.

Sometimes, sometimes I have time to sightsee.

It is really fun for me.

         I am a business traveler.

           I stay and I go.

Here, there, and everywhere.  This life, I do not care.

           The country I cross.

In bed at night, I toss.

Sometimes I am high, and sometimes, I am low.

           To and fro.

Where I do not care, and I do not know.

Am I just out here for show?  I wonder.

I try not to make too many blunders.

         I am a business traveler.

         There are many, many, miles.

I deal with people with many different styles.

         Sometimes, there are smiles.

         I am a business traveler.

I travel in many ways.  Sometimes, there are delays.

I travel by bus when I do not want a fuss.

I travel by train, it is not a pain.

         I travel by plane.

It can make me insane, on me, it can be a drain.

I travel by car, sometimes, I go far.

A car I rent, and try not to dent.

Oh, I am a business traveler.

Yeah, I am a business traveler.
