TONIGHT

I stood looking at her in shock.

She as majestic as a hawk.

I felt like I had been hit in the face with a rock.

I loved, with her to talk.

          Tonight.

          My boat left the dock.

On the water, I could float without the boat.

I wanted to sing and hit a high note.

We were two birds on the wing.

We sang our song, as we just flew along.

           Tonight.

I suddenly was in a different space.

I suddenly was in a different place.

I looked at her beautiful face.

          I won the race.

            Tonight.

My blind date was first rate.

She, you see was an awesome sight.

            She was a real delight.

I really was blinded by her light.

              Tonight.

            She was a real find.

Today was a day of pain.

Today was a day of rain.

Tonight, it was great with her to play and unwind.

             Oh, tonight.

             Yeah, tonight.
