                 Baby, I am going to go.

                 I know you'll say no.

                 I know you'll say say whoa.

                 I know with you, it will not be ok.

                

                 I just thought you'd like to know.

                

                As surely as a river flows.

                As surely as the grass grows.

                As surely as a clock goes.

                As surely as a boatman rows.

                

                I just thought you'd like to know.



                As surely as as a gardner mows.

                As surely as a farmer hoes.

                As surely as a truck tows.

                As surely as an expert or a special knows.

                

               I just thought you'd like to know.



                   My oh why.

                 I know you will not want to say bye.

                 I know you will ask why.

                 I know you will sigh.

                 I know you'll cry.

                 I know you feel like you want to die.

                

                 I just thought you'd like to know.



                 I know it'll feel worse

                 than somebody shooting you in the eye.

                 I know you'll think I'm a terrible guy.

                 I know you'll want to start over again

                 and say hi.
