THERE WAS NOTHING MORE TO SAY

There was nothing more to say

        The day came.

She said she had found a man named Dan.

A man that was really, really, really, great.

A man she knew would never be a mistake.

I realized then, that it was the end.

I realized then, that there was nothing more to say.

There was nothing more to say.

They met on a date that was blind.

This time nature and fate were kind.

It was for a lunch dine.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw him.

He would have been clear, even if the lights were dim.

        He was not near.

There was nothing more to say.

He liked her, and she liked him.

It was a safe bet, that on a date, they would go.

        She would not say no.

Their first date, was out to dinner.

She could tell he was a winner.

There was nothing more to say.

She now gets hot, when she thinks of him.

        This happens quite a lot.

She gets excited when sees him.

Sometimes, she goes week in the knees.

When she first saw him, she saw his car keys.

There was nothing more to say.

He told her he had a Ford Mustang car.

She said car was her favorite word.

She said he could be a star.

She said he could win an award.

She said they could take it out for a spin.

She said they could drive here, there,

        and all about.

She said they could drive anywhere.

She said she felt really alive.

She said with him, she would really thrive.

Her selt belt she would put on, as they would go fast.

She said she would never say no.

There was nothing more to say.

She loves to take walks under the moon with him.

She likes to take walks under the trees with him.

Sometimes, they like to collect leaves.

Sometimes, there is, a gentle breeze.

She loves to take walks on the beach with him, and

        maybe see a loon.

She loves to walk with him, and sing a toon.

She dreams of soon in the family there being a tot.

There was nothing more to say.

There was nothing more to say.

Author's Notes/Comments:

An online friend said she met somebody, and was very happy.  She asked why I had not said more in my email.
