IT'S COLD IN COLORADO

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

I hate to go.  You'll probably say no.

I know you will cry.  You'll ask why.

It's a fact we both know.

You'll ask why do I have to go.

   I wish I could stay.

You'll be all alone at home.

I hate, from you to go away.

I hate, with you, to no longer be able to play.

   It's cold in Colorado.

           I hate to go.

I really want to say no.

           I hate the rain.

It causes me so much pain.

           I hate the snow.

It falls and falls and falls from the sky.

A tear in my eye.  It makes me ask why.

    It's cold in Colorado.

A blizzard of snow from the sky.

A waterfall of tears from your eye.

You hate my being always on the road.

   You hate carrying this load.

It's me, you never to see.

   It's a terrible light, to be a musician's wife.

You would really love a change, it's impossible to arrange.

     Oh, It's cold in Colorado.

      Yeah, it's cold in Colorado.
