SMALL-TIME COUNTRY SINGER

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

       I am a small-time country singer.

I don't play before big crowds of 22,000.

I play before crowds of 2,200.

I'm on the road a lot of the time.

  Video games and carnivals.

  Playing the midway.

  Playing the games.

  Some recognize me; that's nice.

I shake hands, sign a few autographs.

I have enough for motels, not hotels.

Food: gota eat, Burger King and McDonalds.

    Radio

Country songs tell of love lost, found, lost, found.

Hearing my songs on the radio.

I remember the first time, and place.

   March 15, 2002, KC

What a feeling!!  The greatest feeling in the world!!

Advice callers ask about finding love, getting it back, finding love.

Seeing this country

Or at least the part of it, that can be seen from

The American Interstate Highway System
