TIME TO GO

COUNTRY POEMS

              Time to go.

              Time to fly.

              Through the sky of blue.

Yes, that is what we need to do.

              Why ask why.

              My oh why.

              Time to go.

              Please don't say no.

              Please don't say whoa.

Relax, you do not need to plead.

A lot of dough you will not need.

              You won't need to pay.

                Time to go.

               If you say no,

You see, you will hurt me.

It will hurt as bad as a bee sting.

As loud as a midnight telephone ring.

It gets you out of a deep sleep.

Sometimes, the news makes you want to weep.

                Time to go.

As loud as a Ming falling.

The sound of a child bawling.

A day that is certainly not mild.

Suddenly, I am in a jungle with animals wild.

                   Time to go.

If you say no, when I say it is time to go.

                I will not feel well.

Like when I was sledding down the hill

                and I fell.

                Loud as a bell.

                It will be hell.

My heart will be scared still.

I will be as sweating hot as a grill.
