Confrontation

The sadness was there,

     I saw it.

Glittering, strong eyes,

     filled with defiance.

Her mouth set tight,

     her disappointment showed.

But I was no longer apart of her world,

And she no longer in mine.

What about my sadness,

     My suffering?

There is so much more

     That you don't know.

She disappears like angry smoke,

     like an evanescent memory.

Her long hair billowing behind her,

     Ah...just like that..

Just like old times.
