Ripple

Folder:
OTHER

Ripples shatter the tranquility

As I gently toss rocks into the lake

Watching my reflection I see what I hate

The eyeliner stains on my face

The confusion

All reflected upon the surface of the water

Gently I sit at the edge

Dipping my feet into the warm water

Ripples diffuse through and stop

I lift my face to the darkening sky

And I suddenly know that..

I'll be alright

Author's Notes/Comments:

Requested to write about a lake. I started to break my writer's block with this poem.
