If one day I decided to

Become numb to you

And my feelings?

Would you care?

Or would you become numb too

And put me out of my misery?

If, one day I decided to

Leave you and our kids?

And be alone the rest of my days?

Would you let me?

Would you watch me walk

Out of your life?

Or would you follow me

And keep trying to bring me back

To you and our family?

If, by perhaps chance, I wanted to

Beat you up for all the times you

Made my heart and soul bleed

Would you feel it at all?

Would you stand there and take it?

Or would you, maybe

Fight back and block me, trying desperately

To bring me back to my senses

Even if it made me cry my eyes out?

Would you?

If one day you see things

Between you and me aren't

Going so well?

Would you walk away?

Would you tear yourself away from me?

Or maybe...

Would you fight with everything

To keep us together?

Knowing we both want it?

And what if one day...

You find out you don't love me?

Would you tell me?

Would you hide it?
