CHRIS As I lie awake
He squeezes my hand and whispers
"I love you."
I roll over and stare into his eyes
Tears sting at the back of my eyes
"I love you too."
The tears threaten to fall and when they do
He wipes my eyes gently and whispers again
"I love you...please don't cry.."
And he kisses me
Passion envelops both of us
As I run my fingers through his hair
He twists his tongue with mine
And slides his hands down my hips
I run my fingertips across his neck
Heightening the passion
As we let go and gasp for much-needed air
Then start up once again
Wrapping his tongue around mine
And finding his way down to my thighs
I shiver in delight
He gropes blindly and runs his hands
Down my thigh and back up again
I am taken by him
He lets go and kisses me once again
And whispers, "I love you."
Tears of joy fall as comes my reply
"I love you too."
As I lie awake
I know I'm loved
That's all I need
