Come sit with me

And look at this rarity

It’s a moonlit sunset

The sky as beautiful as ever before

Full of hues, blues, purples, and white

Come sit by me

Watch the birds take flight

And sail in the sky, across

This moonlit sunset

Come sit by me, or stand if you prefer

For it’s the last day I’ll be here

Tonight I’ll spread my angel wings

And soar into the midnight stars

Until I reach my home in Heaven

Come beside me

And watch this rarity

The sky weeps for my departure

This moonlit sunset is the Earth’s way

Of saying goodbye…
