A hot summer morning

with good music to start the day off

Fried an egg and took out some cold bread

Rather a normal day

Walked outside to take a bus

the street is filled with half naked children

and their parents trying to make a living

Northing abnormal just the same old scenery

I go into Starbucks and order the same coffee, Americano

The newspaper talks about ongoing conflict in Ukraine

and how the coup' in Thailand is still progressing

Same old news nothing special

I turn my gaze to review of the most recent world cup match

Germany won the world cup

I vaguely remember something about slums being destroyed

but nothing to care about afterall its an old news

Made a promise with a friend to meet at a bar

While on my way there, I give my spare change to a beggar

simply because I hate coins sagging my pants

Nothing to be surprised about

I met friend at a bar and bought him a drink

To my one side I see an underaged girl

flirting with an older man

while to the other side I see a man surreptitiously selling crack

I bid goodbye to my friend and leave

Back home, a relaxing shower, and to bed

Nothing special, nothing agonizing, nothing to woe

nothing to fret over, nothing surprising, and nothing to ponder on

Today too was rather a normal day
