In The Beginning

In the beginning there was you and there was me.

Two strangers passing in the night.

Neither of us knowing that love could make the wrongs right.

In the beginning, I danced to a tune, meanwhile you sang it's song.

I knew not of it's rhythm I merely hummed along

Now like your melody this tune is stuck in my head.

The tears hurt.

The pain makes me wish I were dead.

In the middle there was a love so strong and true.

Two lovers in the night.

Making the wrongs right

In the middle was a beautifully written work of art.

This was our time together.

How I prayed it could last forever.

But like any good love story we found our fate

In the end my heart pushed one final beat.

Our destiny we failed to meet

In the end there was the longest goodbye.

The encore would have to wait.

It was time to take a bow and say our final goodbye.
