I promise to be your friend, to laugh throughout life & listen

The one to hold your hand in church, as the congregation says amen



I promise to give you all my energy, all my trust

Calm life's storm's as they arise & combust



I promise to bring contentment & bliss

Raise your chin, gently give a kiss



I promise to walk by your side, not in front or behind

Keep you smiling and help you unwind



I promise my feelings will never waver, never break

For you I stand forever, however long it may take



I promise to be the music in your life, both slow and quick

Cherish you in my arms, as I would lyric



These promises I speak, not just from my tongue but my heart

As you hear sounds from the pilot's chart, know nothing will set my love for you apart
