something isn't beautiful

and something isn't right

the way i break into tears

and my heart takes off to flight







what's the thing that missing

when you look into my eyes

can't you tell that i'm in love

though i make an effort to hide







the reason i don't want you to hold me

ever so close and dear

is because i know you'll just change your mind

and that is what i fear







i want you to complete me

but more, i want to complete you

i want to understand you and on this i live

until your lips upon mine, then all myself i give







i do have my own life

but i want to feel your soul

hidden in myself

i lack not self control







the peace in me is in you

and you are already whole

the heart of mine is given

and you the one who stole







but i must hide myself from you

because your expectation only comes with time

but if you could only understand

after dark, my moonlit eyes, for you they solely shine
