Someone Else's Shoes
Have you ever put yourself in someone else's shoes,
Have you ever looked through their eyes,
Have you seen the world with their truths,
Could you handle living their lives?
The people we see have their problems and woes,
They all have lives they have lived,
Not always knowing where their journey would go,
Not knowing what strife life would give.
Think of the old man you see on the street,
Can you imagine the things he has seen,
Just think of the life, love, and adventures he's had,
A real shit disturber he may have been!
Ok, see the elderly woman with the stroller in hand,
My how beautifully she could dance,
You'd never know by looking at her,
That she used to be the talk of the land!
You never know what troubles people have,
What heavy things they have on their minds,
So maybe we can show more compassion and love,
The next time someone is being less than kind.
Imagine the lives of the people you see,
Think of all the experiences they may have had,
Now you might know whats its like in their shoes,
And for the life you have be glad!
