The Cauldren

I stepped out onto the rocky plateu
looked in the cauldren to see what it'd show

Couldnt help myself it was a quest for knowledge
Clarity and understanding injected directly into my head
And what better gift could i ever recieve instead?

So i stepped out onto the rocky plateu
looked in the cauldren to see what it'd show

Im not the first man, and i wont be the last
we all look for knowledge of the future, understanding of the past
Maybe i was hasty or i was a little to fast

But i stepped out proudly onto the rocky plateu
looked in the cauldren to see what it'd show

Odin hung from Yggdrasil for the gift
His own burden, his cross to lift
and i had to heal my souls rift
so dont believe that it is a case of short shrift

I stepped out anyway onto the rocky plateu
looked in the cauldren to see what it'd show

I looked inside felt something snap
my sanity frissure start to crack
i tried to look away, i tried to step back
maybe its true curiosity killed the cat

Seems a long time ago i stepped out onto the rocky plateu
looked in the cauldren to see what it'd show

Hope no one finds this space
that im the last person to die in this place
But if its anyone it will be the human race
The horror hits me as death crossed my face

Another person steps out onto the rocky plateu
Look in the cauldren to see what it'd show
Another down, just a few billion to go.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I have no idea what the inspiration for this is or really what its about. Other than a cauldren that shows someones past future and present.
