Just to keep her awake at night

Thoughts meandering into the past

And how it all went by so fast

If only she'd known who she was back then

Maybe things would've turned out different

Maybe if she’d learned from her mistakes

Too bad she still makes them today

Gradual gradient in her mind

Struggling just to pass the time

In such a way that it soothes her heart

If only she'd known it from the start
