I'm nothing but a ripple in time

I may have met you on the street

Or even loved you ocean deep

But you will surely forget me



I can't take you where I'm going

But I'll hold you in my heart

I'm a stone thrown in the waves

And it tears me apart



You won't realize who is missing

As the waves crash on shore

For a moment you may wonder

If there was someone here before



But you will dismiss it

Memories, yours and mine

And I will be forgotten

Like a ripple in time
