As I walked alone
Thinking about how long would it take
To be happy with a guy
Then when I got “The Note”
I knew right then and there
That all of my dreams, wishes, and prayers
Had finally come true
As we talked on the phone
Late at night
We had a connection
A connection so strong
That it could withstand
A major hurricane, twister, or whatever
As we got to know each other
A little more each day
We realize that this was
No ordinary friendship
It was a relationship that was blossoming
Into something that could be more than friends
So we took a chance and
Become a couple
Now we have a beautiful relationship
And we are stronger than ever
Maybe even stronger than
That first connection
We had that night
