Angel's Wings

Through heavy eyes I look to the heavens

Hands of lead I lift to pray

An oasis of trouble I see all around me

Yet you lift me up on Angel's wings

Looking down the world so peaceful

Easy to forget differences when lifes a dream

Awaking into reality is the harsh part

But in sleep I fly on Angel's wings

All the hate and violence everywhere

We are all the same people and so I pray

If I could stop your pain for just one day

I would give the world my Angel's wings.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was found for me by a good friend, Mark who knew about my rough times and so... well. I love it and I find it really sweet that he took the time to find something to make me smile. Beautiful poem. Thank you <3
