The Best Times Of My Life
As bad as i wanna cry, the memories are making me smile
and even though your gone, it's only for awhile,
nothing is as permanent as they say,
because grandpa, you've always done things your way,
The tears that were crying, are for you,
there signs for you, to know we'll miss you,
the pain were feeling, will always be around,
because grandpa, our smile are now frowns,
Even though your smiling face is gone,
our memories of you will carry it on,
now that your laid to rest, your not in any pain,
because grandpa, we couldn't go through that again,
When we close our eyes at night,
we'll dream of you, everythings gonna be alright,
we'll always remember the times that we had,
and once again, grandpa, we'll be glad.
The struggles that you've had, can come to an end,
and no matter what, you'll still be my best friend,
we want you to know, we know your in a better place,
even though, grandpa, these tears run down our face,
You'll be in our thoughts forever, thats for sure,
because grandpa, your love was pure,
you'll help us to get through this hurt and this pain,
and one day we'll see your face again.
