forgiveness, it's a funny thing...

they say to forgive and forget

but after all you've done,

its difficult to throw away

all the awful things you threw at me

i'm sure with time, it'll begin to disappear

but you abandoned me, leaving me all alone,

to carry an unbearable weight that made me bitter

i spend my time daydreaming about how it used to be

so I can forget the way it has become
