My thoughts bypass my feelings
My thoughts bypass my pain
But in my mind I have the way
To set my compass, coordinate
With every thought I ponder
With every breath I take
Another part of me sinks down
And becomes that which I hate
My mind shouts "Conspiracy!"
As if my heart was clueless
My heart shouts back "Hypocrisy!"
And yet my brain ignores it
And as they fight
This crusade
I am the innocent
For they both fight
Until this day
Until my blood is spent
