There was a soft and inviting moan in her breath, when she realised whom the odour belonged to... that all-familiar cologne which made her knees tremble. As he carefully slid his protecting arm around her waist, a lifetime of guilt and fear instantly expelled from her conscience and sent her into an uninhibited calmness. Her head slowly turned with grace to meet her lover as she whispered:



“Hi Babe... I'm so glad you came.”



Her eyes gleamed with joy... it was dark except the secondary light coming in from the hallway. There was just enough illumination to expose the contours of her young and beautiful face, whose smile transcended this beauty beyond any man's desire. Her expressions showed only love. She wished he would never leave. She wished they were still together. She wished he weren’t so unattainable.

Returning to his room he broke down in despair, disillusioned about the worth of his life. After all, he’d been hooked once again... another enigma surrounding her love. Yet another act of deception... the decision lingered on.
