Who Are These Uncircumcised

Folder:
Under God

Who are these uncircumcised

Who defy the army of God?

Who are they who mock today

And o’er our land do trod?

These magistrates with stature great

Send their champion to the line;

They cheer and jeer and they tarry there

As ne’er do they resign.

Just a lowly shepherd boy

Behind the men of war,

I had no name, no fame to claim,

Just my faithful Encourager!

I heard the call to one and all

Come from the mighty ones.

I let my king know that I would go,

This battle has just begun.

So now I stand with sling in hand,

Five stones ready to fly.

The giants are there, showing no fear;

I hope they are ready to die!

For as I listen to the ACLU

And the People for the United Way

I fear no reproach as I boldly approach

To regain the U S of A!

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is to show the lack of fear as I size up the enemies of the gospel in our country.  My literal weapon, of course, is the gospel of Jesus Christ and his substitutionary death, 3 day and 3 night burial, and vicarious resurrection!
