Your Run In The Company Of Wolves

Folder:
My Poems

Written By: Paqtism

When the moon crests the hills giving each tree a black pool-shadow,

The wolves wade in the forest wet ourselves in the darkness.

Shake it from their fur in clearings of light,

Our eyes are stars, our teeth comets our tails.

Galaxies we are, constellations of the night.

We roam the universe, we run as women's companions.

Laugh at the silver arrows and our iron teeth,

Harvest the hunter's bounty, we hide in her moon.

Cloud around her breath we are brave in soul,

Clear of eye and mind we are the loyal-kind.

We are keen to scent and quick fend our kin,

We are hot of blood and slow to sin.

Grey, brown, white, black, blonde,

Ear, tail, paw, claw, tongue.

We play as a pack and we melt together so that we are one,

Is part of all and all become one.

We prance through the forest we track through the sky,

We are noble in friendship and single in thought.

You join us in flight you run in the company of wolves!
