Lying in my bed trying to sleep,

Nothing but memories in my mind of you I keep

Praying that one day you'll soon be here,

In my heart and so very near!

I try so hard to forgive the past,

I know with the strength you'll give it will last!

There will be no bother and no pain,

Only sunshine to wipe out the rain!

We are so far apart,

But I feel you so close to my heart!

Once you come, a new life we will begin,

And I need you to help me from within!

A love so strong is what I seek,

A life without will be so bleak!

Only God will help us see,

How we are supposed to be!

So, I beg of you to put away the hurt and heartache,

And what do you say to giving me a break!
